Always try to return the car at the decided time. Most car rental companies charge on the basis of the 24-hour period. Some companies might give you grace of half an hour but some might start charging for the next 24 hours. In such a case you will have to pay extra even if you don’t need the car anymore. Make sure to ask the car rental agent about the policies of the company.
